Steampunk Brush Set by Artemis-Stock Steampunk Brush Set by Artemis-Stock
Yay! I made a brush set! *Is inordinately pleased with myself*

So. I've noticed that, on dA at least, GIMPers make up a lot of photomanipulators, but are vastly underrepresented when it comes to brushes. Especially steampunk brushes. For Photoshop, there are 27 different steampunk-themed brush packs. For GIMP, there is a grand total of one.

I came across this brush pack, and thought, "I really like these!" but they're Photoshop brushes and won't work on GIMP. (I think they're supposed to, but they don't. Maybe my version's too old or something.)

Anyway, I also wanted to see more steampunk GIMP brushes. So I made these. The pictures come from here - [link] (MUCH MUCH thanks to Wikimedia Commons!)

There are 16 brushes in this pack, sketches/plans of different types of steampunk-style machinery. Hope you like them!

Kay. Rules:
:bulletblue: You can use any of my stock for manips, references, etc. That's what they're there for. You don't have to ask first.
:bulletblue: If you use one of my pictures, credit me in the comments.
:bulletblue: Please comment or note me with a link to your piece - I'd love to see what you've made!
:bulletblue: Don't make anything sexist, racist, derogatory, or that promotes animal cruelty with my stock. Religious, political, opinion-oriented, or satire is fine as long as it doesn't insult other people.
:bulletblue: Most of all, be creative and have fun! It's art!

Actually, you can use any Photoshop brush in Gimp. You need to install the .abr brush file in the Gimp brush folder. *if the download is in the form of a zip file, just copy and paste the Photoshop .abr file directly into the Gimp folder. Then restart Gimp and the brushes will be there. :)

These are amazing! If I wanted to use them for a band logo, would that be alright?
